MW3 patch / update notes - change log

A number of patches and hotfixes have been released by Infinity Ward since MW3 was released. Yesterday, they provided details of what these updates did.

Update 1:
This enabled Theater Mode, your Clip Vault and special private match options. This update also setup Facebook and Elite integration for launch day.

Update 2:
They fixed an issue where Theater Mode clips uploaded from Standard Definition TVs were out of proportion or skewed. An update to improve matchmaking was also released.

Update 3:
Theater Mode improvements were made. Most notably, the fixed an issue with Fast Forward and Rewind in Theater Mode.

Update 4:
A number of changes were made to address lag and gameplay hitching.

Update 5:
More changes were made to address multiplayer lag. Note that more updates are expected regarding lag.

A number of hotfixes were also made. In case you didn't know, a hotfix is a change that doesn't require the player to download a patch or an update. These hotfixes were:

The No Recoil glitch. This glitch allowed the player to have zero recoil on his/her weapon.

A glitch on the PC version which allowed players to have infinite Stealth Bombers was also fixed.

Map exploits were fixed. For instance, you could get inside the truck on Outpost. The hotfix also stopped a number of exploits that allowed the player to get outside maps.

Slow-mo and super fast lobbies were patched. As far as I know, these were an issue on the XBox. Basically, in slow-mo lobbies, the game played as if you were in zero gravity.
