Apparently, sniper rifles in MW3 will not have a random sway like they did in Call of Duty: Black Ops.

Sniper Rifles in MW3
Thankfully, the COD XP event led to the discolsure of lots of information regarding MW3. In terms of sniper rifles, we learned that quickscoping has returned. We also got to see what sniper rifles players can choose in MW3. Here is a screenshot of the Modern Warfare 3 weapons menu, which shows the sniper tier:

ReplyDeleteL118A is like the L96, too bad about the random sway, because with random sway you force people to learn how to snipe rather than allow cheap scoping. Leaving Quick scope and aim assist present when zooming makes sniping lose it's unique and classy feel. Sniping is different then shotgunning, Smg, and Assault, it takes a good aimer with patience and his own accuracy. Leaving the sniping like it was in MW2 effectively says "F it, just scope and shoot" easy as pie. It should be balanced, which it will probably not be, despite them saying they are focusing on balance+gameplay.
ReplyDeleteI like sniping, and in every FPS I pay I'm a good sniper, but I want a challenge at least. If snipers have no sway at least they could take out quick scope, or vice versa, but not keep both. If it's too easy I won't be sniping this COD game. Just as in black ops I never used 2nd chance, or the Pm63. Smh, will be a fun game though, from what it seems.

Best weapon for quickscope: L118A or MSR
ReplyDeleteThe dragonov sucks ass unless you silence it and put kick proficiency. Barrett is good for general sniping, but has too much sway. MSR is fawking amazing, but you unlock it very late. AS50 sucks. The RSASS is a souped up dragonov. It is actually quite good.
